Job Title: Project Architect - Residential and Commercial

Location: Asheville, North Carolina, mostly in office, flexible with at home needs.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Architect to join our growing team. As a Project Architect at MDA, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing architectural projects, focusing on both residential and commercial clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to a variety of projects while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept to completion.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative solutions.

Prepare and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and other visualizations, to effectively communicate concepts to clients and team members.

Coordinate with internal teams, including drafters, designers, and engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.

Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

Stay abreast of industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Licensed Architect in the state of North Carolina (or eligible for licensure). Or interest and ability to obtain within first year.

Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in residential and commercial architecture.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

Strong design and visualization skills.

Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
